Clearer visions of the future in the strategic plans of the SOEs

An evaluation carried out by the Governance Coordination Centre, an institution promoting the good governance practices in Lithuanian state-owned enterprises (SOEs), shows, that even though some SOEs still restrict the disclosure of information, the overall quality of the strategic planning of Lithuanian SOEs is improving. State enterprises Oro navigacija and Klaipėdos valstybinio jūrų uosto direkcija as well as AB Klaipėdos nafta have provided the clearest strategic directions of all SOEs. The most improvements on formulating their strategic plans should be made by the SOEs under the Ministry of Agriculture.

Cyber-attacks on social networks no longer bypass social network accounts that promote public spirit and are aimed at young persons. Lithuanian residents‘ spending on computer games increases

The State Tax Inspectorate (hereinafter referred to as the VMI) informs that the residents of Lithuania spend more money playing video games and using digital services of companies operating in the European Union. Analysis of the data of MOSS (Mini One Stop Shop) scheme that has been functioning since 2015 revealed that more than 7 million euros of value added tax (hereinafter referred to as VAT) payable to Lithuania was declared for 2018 by the participants of MOSS according to a press release from the VMI.
